Will it be YOURS?

King Solomon lived in Israel about 3000 years ago and as a young king his prayer to God was not for riches or power but simply for wisdom to rule fairly over the many different people in his kingdom. His request was granted and he quickly earned the reputation for being a fair and just ruler who was respected and honoured by the people of the Living God as well as other kings from surrounding nations.
However in his latter years he turned from the Living God and was led astray by his many foreign wives to worship the idols of their forefathers. If this wise king who knew God and was known of Him, was so easily turned aside by these foolish Princesses to worship idols - think how easily we too could fall away from God? Therefore we warn you - beware of the idols of this age and live fully for Christ, meeting together regularly to worship the one true God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in these last days. Do not be unwise and date or marry unbelievers (2 Cor 6:14), as Solomon did, but take heed of your destiny. Reject the temporary trends, idols and false gods of this "modern" age which are really seducing spirits trying to divert Christians from truly following Christ and trusting fully in the reliability of the Word of God but instead be rooted and grounded in Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever!
